On July 1, 1987, J Madden successfully founded and launched the Greenwood Athletic Club, and has been recognized as a leader in the fitness industry ever since. Pura Vida continues his vision in the pursuit of providing first-class options to those who desire to embody the good life.



Keith MooreKeith Moore, General Manager
Starting his career directing art galleries in San Francisco, Keith made the jump into health and fitness believing that "there had to be a better way to promote and give voice to a healthy lifestyle." Developing innovative and consultative ways to brand, market and position health clubs, he began with ClubCorp in the mid-1990s, focusing on tennis properties. Moving into fitness and multi-sport clubs with Club One in San Francisco, he oversaw 9 clubs in California, creating fitness marketing and membership programs featured in the Wall Street Journal. In 2003, Keith and his family moved to Denver, where he began work with Wellbridge as West Region Sales and Marketing Director, overseeing 13 multi-sport clubs in 4 states. Keith became involved in Pura Vida in 2008: “Developing Pura Vida and Vital Spa has been amazing. It’s wonderful to be surrounded by friends who value health and wellness in their daily life.”


Matt Skinner, Controllermatt skinner
Matt comes to us from Boulder, where he was raised with a love of the outdoors and a passion for fitness. A licensed CPA in Colorado, Matt’s experience is in both financial accounting and tax. Having worked as a consultant with some of Colorado’s small businesses, Matt is thrilled to help Pura Vida continue to be Denver’s top fitness club.


Heather BahlmannHeather Bahlmann, Fitness Director
Heather most recently held the position of Health & Fitness Director for the esteemed Atlantic Club in New Jersey, where she was responsible for the vitality and success of their personal training, group exercise, KINESIS® and Pilates programs. Heather’s launch of our KINESIS program at Pura Vida comes after having had the experience of opening the 2nd such facility in the United States. One of her passions is community outreach and event planning. Heather recently worked closely with the Avon Foundation in recruiting over 250 members and guests to participate in raising over $500,000 for breast cancer research and funding. Heather has also organized and hosted an annual community health fair, women’s health day, senior health & fitness day as well as a running and triathlon camp with 6-time Ironman champion, Mark Allen.

Lynge,_Linda_spa-director Linda Lynge, Spa Director
Linda Lynge comes to the Pura Vida family with fifteen years experience as a General Manager in the Spa and Fitness Industries. Starting as a personal trainer, Linda’s career path lead into Management and Design where in 1990, she designed her first athletic club in Littleton, Colorado. While General Manager of one of the most luxurious spas in Orange County, CA, Linda held a dual role position as Corporate Senior Spa Director where she designed and consulted on start up and ongoing operations for multiple spa properties simultaneously throughout the United States. Under her direction, the Springs Eternal Spa was awarded #5 Resort Spa in the World and #2 in North America in Travel and Leisure’s World’s Top 100 for 2011. Linda credits her world class spa knowledge and quality customer service skills to her many wonderful mentors (both employers and team associates) throughout the years.


lauren page, membership director Lauren Page, Membership Director
Lauren comes to us with over a decade of experience in the health, wellness and fitness industries. Originally concentrating in fitness marketing while studying at UCLA, she quickly saw the value in maintaining a healthy lifestyle and decided to pursue it full-time as general sales manager of a boutique fitness studio in Santa Monica. There she oversaw all sales and fitness departments building a strong and diverse clientele base in the Los Angeles area. In the 8 years serving as General Sales Manager she developed the studio and team from a start-up to expanding to three locations. A true lover of pilates she is also a certified instructor with nearly four years teaching experience in both LA and Denver, enjoying working mostly with the senior population, teaching how to grow gracefully and healthfully in the golden years. A native to Colorado, she recently moved back to Denver after 16 years in LA to be closer to her family. Pura Vida was a natural fit - combining all of her interests, skills and passions. The concept of having a career around her lifestyle and passions has created the freedom to do what she loves and at the same time help others to learn how to enjoy a better quality of life.

katie riley Katie Riley, MA, Member Services and Loyalty Director
Katie Riley is from Athens, Georgia and completed her undergraduate degree at Furman University in South Carolina. Katie has extensive guest service experience working at private clubs and dining establishments throughout school to fund her education. In 2000, in pursuit of a career and a more active, adventurous lifestyle, she moved to Vail to join Vail Resorts, Inc. in the Human Resources Department. Over her tenure her concentration became guest service and management development for Vail Resort. Katie returned to school in 2007 to obtain her MA in Counseling Psychology and Counselor Education at the University of Colorado—Denver. Katie is thrilled to marry her HR expertise with her Counseling degree at Pura Vida to further develop staff, increase guest service levels and serve members.


Jillian KingdomJillian Kingdom, Special Projects Coordinator
Jillian joins Pura Vida as a Denver native with a background in customer service, management, marketing and sales. Prior to joining the team at Pura Vida, Jillian worked in a variety of industries as a lifeguard, a campus representative for Apple Computer and most recently in the fitness industry selling Pilates equipment. Involved in dancing and athletics for a good portion of her life, she understands the importance of a healthy lifestyle and is committed to exceeding your expectations as a member at Pura Vida.
